Hold L1 + R1 while choosing a character at the selection screen.
Go to story mode and use any default character to complete his or her story. Once completed, you will unlock a secret character in story mode. Successfully complete story mode with the unlocked character to unlock the next bonus character.
To unlock Neji Hyuuga: Successfully complete story mode as any default character.
To unlock Hinata Hyuuga: Successfully complete story mode as Neji Hyuuga.
To unlock Haku: Successfully complete story mode as Hinata Hyuuga.
To unlock Zabuza Momochi: Successfully complete story mode as Haku.
To unlock Gaara, Successfully complete story mode as Zabuza Momochi.
To unlock Orochimaru: Successfully complete story mode as Garaa.
